The next Charles River Practice Group Meeting for the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council for which Attorney Debra Smith is the Chair, will be on February 20, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. in Watertown. The presenter will be Joe Orlando who will speak on “Focusing on Life’s Lessons.”
The March 20, 2018 Charles River Practice Group Meeting will be at 1:00 P.M. in Watertown. Collaborative Attorney and Mediator Justin Kelsey will speak and facilitate discussion on “Resources & Technology in Collaborative Cases”.

On January 5, 2014, Attorney Debra Smith was interviewed by Attorney David Rubin on “Talking About The Law” on WCRN 830 AM Radio about mediation, collaborative law and litigation.
The Alimony Reform Act of 2011 was signed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick on September 26, 2011. The new law went into effect in Massachusetts on March 1, 2012.

“Are Personal Care Products Safe?”
We expect our shampoo, soap, deodorant, creams, sunscreen and make up we use on a daily basis to be safe, but are they? The Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow has concerns about the safety of our personal care products. They are sponsoring a Safe Cosmetic Week of Action from June 18, 2005 to June 26, 2005. During this week, their volunteers have been talking to counter staff and managers at local department store cosmetic counters and cosmetic stores and leafleting outside of stores about toxic chemicals in cosmetics, gathering petition signatures and posting ads in communities throughout the country.
